Humanimal Trust

Humanimal Trust was established in May 2014 by Professor Noel Fitzpatrick, a pioneering orthopaedic-neuro veterainary surgeon known worldwide for defining possibilities in veterinary medicine. His vision was simpe yet revolutionary: what if every breakthrough in medicine could benefit both humans and animal - without costing animals their lives?

We want a world where humans and animals have equal opportunities to benefit from medical progress, but not at the expense of an animals life. This is possible when doctors, vets and researchers routinely collaborate and share knowledge - a concept known as One Medicine. We believe this approach will lead to progressively fewer laboratory animal tests, until one day, they become obsolete.
