My Story

Just over a year ago I completed a two year, 50-walk challenge to raise funds for One Medicine and the Humanimal Trust. The walks were all along the Cornish coast path, and I would have completed the whole length of it had the pandemic not scuppered my plans!

The 6th May 2021 is One Medicine Day and coincides with the 7th birthday of the founding of the Humanimal Trust. It also marks the start of my next challenge to complete 55 walks of 5 miles or more before I reach my 55th birthday.

The walks will include the last few walks along the coastal footpath that I didn't manage to complete in 2020; a walk to the highest point in Cornwall, Brown Willy; a walk along the width of Cornwall - from coast to coast and a half marathon. The full marathon will be reserved for my next challenge!

Once again I'll be taking photos of my journey and creating and selling a calendar of the best views to raise further funds. Please follow me on Twitter @BevHunt72 for a virtual tour around Cornwall and beyond.

One Medicine is a cause close to my heart and marks the way forward. With medics and vets working closely together and sharing research and outcomes of treatments, cures for diseases will be found quicker in both humans and animals, but not to the detriment of any animals.

If you would like to support me on my challenge, please donate by clicking on the link. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will be greatly appreciated and help bring One Medicine one step closer.

Thank you.
